Principal Hydrogeologist
Advancing JWI's water resource and mine hydrology
capabilities, JWI has brought on board Andy Zdon as a Principal
Hydrogeologist. Andy is a recognized expert in characterizing
surface water and groundwater interactions, especially in the
California desert region and groundwater modeling. With more than 24
years of experience, Andy is a California Professional Geologist,
Certified Hydrogeologist and Certified Engineering Geologist, and an
Arizona Registered Geologist. He is also a Certified Professional
Geologist through the American Institute of Professional Geologists.
He received a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in geology from
Northern Arizona University and has served on the Technical Advisory
Committee for the California Board for Engineers, Land Surveyors and
Geologists. Andy's diverse and unique expertise ranges from
large-scale water resource investigations to mining
geology/hydrogeology experience. Andy has managed complex
groundwater modeling efforts for both aquifer storage and recovery
studies as well as contaminant transport modeling. He has been
retained as an expert in a wide variety of environmental pollution
and water resource cases.
