Johnson Wright’s site investigation/remediation consulting practice provides focused environmental studies, cost-effective remedial solutions, and positive regulatory outcomes to industrial clients. Our staff of engineers, hydrogeologists, and scientists offer the technical breadth and experience to aide our clients in developing strategic objectives, implement cost-efficient and robust solutions that allow our clients to achieve their business needs within the constraints posed by regulatory requirements.

Our approach to solving our client’s environmental engineering challenges includes the following key elements:

bullet Establish a thorough understanding of the historic and current site operations, releases, investigations and remedial actions
bullet Determine our clients overall technical, regulatory and business objectives as they pertain to environmental issues
bullet Create data acquisition and evaluation methods that optimize data value and minimize cost and project time
bullet Implement solution strategies in a phased manner that allows for mid-course adjustments based on previous findings

Hundreds of chemicals are associated with contamination of the environment. We investigate sites to identify those chemicals in soil, sediment, surface water, and groundwater that may pose a risk to human health and/or the environment. The goals of the investigation vary between sites, depending on the locations and regulatory framework, the types of chemicals and exposure, and the eventual use or disposition of the site.

Depending on the site conditions, Johnson Wright staff use a variety of strategies to help reduce, minimize, or avoid unnecessary remediation costs. These strategies may include the use of risk analysis, bioavailability, or natural attenuation approaches. Our phased approaches to investigations and possible remedial actions remain focused and cost effective.
